3X House_Madrid, Spain
The requirement was to build three houses for a family in a residential area in Madrid. The elderly parents, the film score composer daughter and her husband and children; and the artist son. Instead of building three different volumes for each household, we decided to make a simple gesture to divide the house area and the garden area and develop all the three housings inside this volume.
They are connected and interrelated, but they are also able to get some privacy. Each part responds to the needs of each inhabitant.
1_First, we arrive to the house of the composer, with a semi-public space below the ground, the music studio and party area. The private part of this house is upstairs.
2_The house for the parents is turned to the center patio, at ground level with no obstacles.
3_Finally, the artist house is in the back with a huge space for work and a little apartment upstairs.
