Desde el punto de vista de su relación con el entorno, el proyecto busca dar continuidad al espacio público recuperando la antigua conexión entre el Passeio das Fontainhas y el Largo Actor Dias. La cubierta del edificio se concibe, a su vez, como parque y mirador: desde ella, y desde el propio interior, se establece un diálogo visual con el río y se enmarca el puente, símbolo de la ciudad.

From the perspective of its relationship with the surroundings, the project seeks to provide continuity to the public space by restoring the former connection between Passeio das Fontainhas and Largo Actor Dias. The building's roof is conceived, in turn, as both a park and a viewing terrace: from it, and from the interior itself, a visual dialogue is established with the river, framing the bridge — a symbol of the city.
En cuanto a la estructura, los pórticos que sustentan el edificio evolucionan longitudinalmente para salvar la diferencia de cotas entre las dos calles, aprovechando ese desnivel para alojar el aparcamiento. En el extremo opuesto, los pórticos se pliegan a modo de brise soleil, integrando las instalaciones de climatización y realzando las vistas.
Regarding the structure, the frames that support the building evolve longitudinally to overcome the difference in levels between the two streets, taking advantage of this change in elevation to accommodate the parking area. At the opposite end, the frames fold into brise soleil elements, integrating the air conditioning installations and enhancing the views.
